  Carbon Reduction Policies, Technologies, and Practices in the Cement and Concrete Industry in Germany and Europe

  【发言摘要】实现水泥与混凝土价值链的脱碳被视为应对全球气候变化的重要一环。全球范围内已有多项政策出台,各地区甚至全球层面也已制定了多种脱碳路径。所有脱碳举措不仅依赖于传统手段,如替代燃料的使用和熟料掺量的降低,也包括碳捕集、利用与封存(CCUS)等突破性技术。为了在未来某一时间节点实现净零碳排放,全球许多水泥生产商正并行推进多种减排措施。这种并行推进十分关键,因为部分措施仍需要大量的规划、时间与投资才能落地实施。

  The decarbonisation of the cement and concrete value chain is seen as indispensable in order to contribute to global climate mitigation. Different policies around the world are in place and different pathways have been developed on a regional or even global level. All decarbonisation measures depend on conventional levers like the use of alternative fuels and clinker factor reduction, but also breakthrough technologies like carbon capture storage and use. In order to get to net zero CO2 emissions at a given time, many cement producers around the world apply these measures in parallel. This is important in order not to lose time, because some of the measures need still a lot of planning and time and investment for implementation.

  Opportunity for China-Japan Cooperation Related to Building and Building Materials Industry, and olicy Trends on the Greening of Housing and Buildings  

  【发言摘要】在中日两国共同追求碳中和的背景下,住宅和建筑物的节能与脱碳、环境负荷的降低成为了共同的重要课题。日本已宣布将于2050年实现碳中和,为了达成这一目标,正在推进利用高节能性能建材的住宅和建筑物的建设,以及对节能改造的支持和环境整治。

  Against the backdrop of the shared pursuit of carbon neutrality by both China and Japan, enhancing energy efficiency, achieving decarbonization, and reducing environmental impact in the housing and building sector have become important common challenges. Japan has declared its goal of achieving carbon neutrality by 2050. To realize this target, the country is promoting the construction of houses and buildings using high energy-efficiency materials, while also supporting energy-saving renovations and environmental improvement initiatives.

  【发言摘要】加拿大制定了净零碳混凝土路线图及其2030行动计划聚焦三个优先发展领域,旨在推动行业向2050年实现净零排放目标迈进,包括:通过绿色政府采购、规范标准更新以及生命周期清单数据的统一,推动市场发展,使碳足迹数据和行业基准数据得以广泛应用;通过定向资助计划、战略性公共投资工具及监管框架,支持包括碳捕集、利用与封存(CCUS)在内的新技术应用,推动整个水泥和混凝土价值链的创新与产业转型;通过开拓新的出口机会、加强国际合作与政策倡导,提升加拿大混凝土行业的国际竞争力。加拿大还与阿联酋联合牵头提出的“水泥与混凝土突破”倡议。

  Canada’s Roadmap to Net-Zero Carbon Concrete and its Action Plan to 2030, which is centred on three overarching priority areas that are to be advanced as the industry transitions to net-zero by 2050. This includes: driving market development through greening government procurement, updates to codes & standards regulations, and approaches to harmonize life-cycle inventory data to make carbon footprint data and benchmarking available to industry; driving innovation and industrial transition along the entire cement and concrete value chain through targeted funding programs, strategic public investment vehicles and regulatory frameworks to support the adoption of technologies such as CCUS; positioning the Canadian concrete industry for success through the pursuit of new export opportunities, international collaboration and advocacy on emerging policy trends.The presentation concluded with a summary of the Cement & Concrete Breakthrough, an international initiative co-led by Canada and the United Arab Emirates to strengthen collective action on decarbonizing the cement and concrete industry.

  Saint-Gobain & Partners Journey Towards 0 Carbon

  【发言摘要】圣戈班集团坚定致力于减少碳足迹,目标是在2050年实现净零排放,同时积极支持合作伙伴和客户实现各自的零碳目标。集团在全球各业务领域都积极推进相关举措,聚焦于降低制造环节的能源消耗。循环经济也是圣戈班战略的核心之一,集团致力于优化本地化供应链、最大限度实现材料的循环利用,这在其玻璃和石膏的回收利用实践中已有充分体现。圣戈班的解决方案亦广泛助力客户降低碳足迹,例如自2022年起推出的 Oraé 低碳平板玻璃、在越南上市的 Duraflex 低碳纤维水泥板,在中国生产的轻型Gyproc 石膏板,以及Chryso 推出的新一代高效质量提升剂 EnviroAdd,可实现多达8%的熟料替代率和11%的二氧化碳减排。

  Saint-Gobain has a strong commitment to decrease the group CO2 footprint with a target of achieving net zero by 2050, while supporting our partners and customers 0 CO2ambitions. Many initiatives are taken in all our businesses across the globe to make our commitments come through, focusing on decreasing energy in manufacturing plants. Circularity is also at the heart of Saint-Gobain strategy to favor short supply-chain and reuse materials as much as possible, as highlighted in our glass and gypsum recycling activities. Saint-Gobain solutions also enable customers to reduce their CO2 footprint, using light and sustainable materials in construction projects – such as Orae low carbon flat glass since 2022, Duraflex low carbon fibrocement board in Vietnam or lightweight Gyproc plasterboard in China made of 100% of byproducts and 0 virgin raw material 100% recyclable. For the cement industry, the new generation of quality improvers EnviroAdd by Chryso allows up to 8% clinker reduction and 11% CO2 decrease.

  AGC’s Practice in Energy Conservation and Emission Reduction in the Building Materials Sector

  【发言摘要】汤山先生主要介绍了日本AGC株式会社在建材领域节能减排的具体实践,并举出正在推进中的三个具体案例来阐述AGC在绿色低碳领域所做的贡献。一是AGC将氨作为燃料替代重油和天然气的验证试验项目。二是AGC巴雷夫卡工厂(捷克)启动新的压延玻璃试点生产线——Volta生产线。该生产线是AGC集团全资子公司与圣戈班共同实施,并获得了EU创新基金的支持,该基金旨在通过支持创新低碳技术的商业化,减少温室气体排放。三是AGC鹿岛工厂成功进行了将太阳能电池板盖板玻璃回收生产浮法玻璃的示范试验,太阳能电池板盖板玻璃回收生产浮法玻璃的技术取得显著进展。

  Introduce AGC Inc.’s concrete practices in energy conservation and emission reduction in the building materials sector, illustrating the company’s contributions to green and low-carbon development with three ongoing projects.

  First, AGC is conducting a verification project to use ammonia as a substitute fuel for heavy oil and natural gas.

  Second, AGC’s Barevka plant in the Czech Republic has launched a new pilot rolled glass production line — the Volta line. The project is jointly carried out by a wholly owned subsidiary of the AGC Group and Saint-Gobain, with support from the EU Innovation Fund, which aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by supporting the commercialization of innovative low-carbon technologies. This pioneering technology combines full-electric melting with oxy-fuel natural gas combustion, achieving a 50% electrification rate while ensuring the high quality required for glass production and significantly reducing direct carbon emissions.

  Third, AGC’s Kashima plant has successfully conducted a demonstration trial of recycling solar panel cover glass into float glass production, marking significant progress in the technology of using recycled solar panel cover glass for float glass manufacturing.

  AI Large Models In Cement Industry and Carbon Emission Reduction Effects

  【发言摘要】2025年4月23日,海螺集团发布水泥188金宝搏手机 首个人工智能大模型——海螺云工大模型,搭建了云边协同、边用边学、持续优化的人工智能运行体系,建设集团中心云和厂区边缘两级协同架构。围绕生产优化、质量管控、装备管理、安全生产、智能问答等五大领域进行深入应用,成效显著。其中烧成全局寻优大模型基于AI+APC的方式,将工艺机理+专家经验+数据特征进行融合,通过烧成系统关键变量建立游离钙预测模型,实时分析煅烧状况,动态优化工艺参数,实现水泥生产过程参数自动推荐,进一步降低能耗与碳排放。

  On April 23, 2025, Conch Group launched the cement industry's first AI large model—Conch YunGong large model, establishing an AI operating system featuring cloud-edge collaboration, learning-through-application, and continuous optimization. The system adopts a two-level collaborative architecture integrating group-level central cloud and plant-level edge computing. Deep applications have been implemented across five key areas: production optimization, quality control, equipment management, safety management, and intelligent Q&A. The global kiln process optimization model, utilizing an AI+APC (Advanced Process Control) approach, integrates process mechanisms, expert experience, and data characteristics. By establishing a free calcium oxide prediction model for key variables in the kiln system, it enables real-time analysis of calcination conditions and dynamic optimization of process parameters. This achieves automatic parameter recommendation for cement production, further reducing energy consumption and carbon emissions.
